You can get assigned seats for free

Allegiant Air offers assigned leather seats on some of its flights. You can select a seat online, at the airport or through the Allegiant Air app. Passengers can also choose a seat in an exit row to have more legroom. You can also change the seat they've already reserved through Manage My Travel.

You don't have to pay extra for a seat assignment. However, it is possible to pay a nominal charge to modify your seat at check-in. Online passengers are exempted from this fee. You may also choose to upgrade your flight seat at the airport. Upgrades are still possible, but you will have to pay extra.

It allows you to board without the use of paper

In the past travelers could print boarding passes or use a computer at the airport. While that convenience is great, it comes with its own share of "gotchas." Allegiant charges $5 per paper boarding pass if printed at the airport. This fee can be waived when you check in online or through the Allegiant app 45 minutes before your flight.

Allegiant Air only has a very limited flight schedule so it is not something you can rely on if your schedule is tight. For budget-minded travelers, however, this airline is a great choice. The airline offers both seasonal and major destinations on a budget.
