Budget airlines can be a great way for you to save money, whether you are traveling for pleasure or business. There are some compromises to be made when using low-cost carriers. Frontier is one example of such airlines.
Frontier Airline's positive experiences
Frontier Airlines is a favorite airline for budget-minded travelers. The company flies to more than 101 domestic and 19 global destinations, so it's easy to find an affordable flight with them.
The best part about flying with Frontier is their incredibly cheap fares. Frontier has incredibly low ticket prices, starting at $25 per person. However, they have fees that can quickly add up, so make sure to plan ahead.
You can save even greater money by booking your seats in advance and not waiting in the line at the airport. Frontier tickets do not include complimentary seat assignments. You will need to pay extra if you don't want to be in the middle of your party or have to sit in a different place.

Bundle packages with Frontier are another way to save money. Bundles are a great way to cut down on the cost of your addons, and get extra perks such as priority boarding.
If you cannot avoid the fees, it is worth booking a full-fare Frontier ticket using a credit card with a rewards program. The rewards can be used to get Frontier flights for free in the future.
Frontier Customer Service
Some Frontier passengers are angry at Frontier's new messaging based system for customer services. Joe Lorenz, who recently traveled with the airline from Michigan to Denver for New Year's, said he was unable to resolve his online check-in issue through the messaging platform. Instead of solving the problem through email, he was forced by the airport to speak with a ticket agent.
This employee was rude but not interested in solving the issue. She dismissed him by saying "I work at a ticket counter, and not the gate".
He explained that he had many conversations and multiple employees to be able to check his luggage. He said he was refunded the $25 fee when he was able to do so at the airport, but he's planning to switch to another airline next time he's traveling.

Frontier's Baggage Policy
If you're flying with a carry-on, be sure to follow the weight and size guidelines. Passengers who fail to follow these guidelines could be charged up $60 for their bags.
Be aware, however, that not all bundles allow you to bring on luggage.
Frontier isn't as expensive as its competition, despite the plethora fees. If you're tight on budget, the rewards program as well as low fares are worth exploring. Before you fly with Frontier, make sure to review their cancellation and baggage policies.
