ME to WE
metowe is a non-profit company offering a range lifestyle products and travel experiences. Their mission is to change the world by empowering people. They partner with communities in Kenya, Ecuador and India to provide opportunities for youth and families to improve their lives.
ME to WE trips cost
You can find trips on the WE Charity website which allow you to "step in the shoes of Maasai soldiers" in Kenya or "shamanic ceremonies and learn hands-on weapons skills" in Ecuador. These trips include a tour to an "agricultural knowledge centre", a jungle walk, or canoe ride, as well as work on a development initiative.
ME to We Youth Trips
A ME to WE youth trip allows young travelers to immerse themselves in the lives of people in communities that are working with WE Charity, a TreadRight-supported charity. These young travelers will work with local community members to build schools and clean water systems. They also participate in interactive leadership development workshops.
Many WE Day events held by WE Charity around the world and Canada, including Vancouver and Calgary were tagged with hashtags (#wedayvancouver/#yyc) that refer to specific WE events. These are indicators of problematic urban-based education programming. These inspiring concerts may be great for students. However, the co-hashtag graph reveals that these programs promote hierarchies that are not previously acknowledged in Canada.
